They have some close games against Wake and UM (and Ala for a while). Then they have a handful of blowout loses.

They play some running teams well, some poorly. But, they seem to play passing teams poorly across the board.

Hopefully, we'll see a lot of Johnson and Johnson early, building a big lead. Then backups and a whole lot of running in the second half.

Roof knows how Chan coaches. He will play it close to the vest and stay close in hopes of a couple of big turnovers, etc to give them a chance to win. Otherwise, this year, Duke is very young and should be blown out.

We won't but will win 10-0.

They play well against us because their coaching staff [ex GT] would rather beat us tha n anyone, that includes UNC and NCSU.

NCAA Stats rankings:

Category.....Duke.....GT

Rushing O......97.........35
Passing O......91.........97
Total O........109........76
Scoring O.....115........55

Rushing D......93.........17
Passing D......88.........64
Total D.........94.........28
Scoring D.....103.........24

Duke does rank 29th in 4th down efficiency defense, so GT should just punt on 4th down. ;)

A friend of mine at Duke law told me Duke football does a good job making sure no one there gets distracted by football before basketball season starts.

Who knows. Very few have seen them play.

I imagine it will be tighter than many posting their predictions can imagine.
