Barely beat Clemson, who has now lost 3 games (including Virginia), and will probably lose to WF this weekend.
Barely beat USC who also lost to Virginia, and doesn't look like much of a team.
Beat 2 patsies.
Barely beat Alabama, who almost got beat by MTSU, and was playing with #2 QB (Over-rated IMO)
Barely beat Tennessee, who struggled to beat Arkansas, got whupped by Florida, and had about 9 starters missing, including QB.

To me, I still don't see UGA as a good team. They have a great defense, and ST has played well, but offense looks pathetic. I am prediciting 3 more loses in the season (hopefully ont to GA Tech!).

Yep, the puppies are not a good nor great team.

They've only won all their games.
They only stop the opponent when they need to stop them.
They only score when they absolutely need a score.
The don't make stupid mistakes at critical times.
They don't get upset when their Nation boos their play or playcalling.

I can't stand the Cow College, but they are charmed right now. I can't figure out who is left on their schedule that can force them into mistakes.
Maybe Auburn, Vandy(because they just do that sort of thing), UF-depending on which team shows up--one that scores preferrably, and GT-if we play mistake free ball.

This is not shaping up like a good season...

Everyone they've played.

P.S. It's been a tougher set of teams then those we've played and we're not unbeaten. We should get our own house in order before tossing barbs at the puppies from an obvious position of weakness.

Not only that but Ugag is already lining up one of the best recruiting classes in years. If something doesn't change quickly, we may be behind the 8-ball for years and years to come.

Regardless of who they have played etc etc, man I haven't seen a team get the breaks they have gotten in a LONG time - I think UT would have beaten them soundly with their QB healthy - for the first 3 quarters UT could barely get a first down - I think they may have used 6 different plays - seriously - their offense was awful..

I wouldn't be surprised to see UK give them a game, unless of course they too have a rash of injuries before the UGA game - sheeessssee

UGAG is living proof of the theory: "It's better to be lucky than good."

Since UF and UT are not the UF and UT that GT fans have grown to love, UGA has its chance. Luckily, for them, both those schools are having "off" yrs. In fact, the whole SEC is rather down this yr.

beeware - lets not get carried away. I remember in 97 we had just lost our 7th game in a row to UGA, they had beated a good UF team and finished the year ranked in the top 10. They topped it off with a consensus top 5 recruiting class (much better than last years) that included Quincy Carter. We all know what happens next. By the way, that '97 UGA team was WAY more impressive than this team. I've never seen the SEC this bad.

Everybody, which is no small accomplishment these days. btw-Who has Tech played?

The SEC is down and UGA is seizing the moment. That's the bottom line. I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty. I wouldn't be surprised if they went 12-0.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">If you look back at any MNC team in history you can point to several "lucky" moments during the season. I'd say that any breaks Colorado had in 1990 easily surpass anything UGAg has seen to this point this year. UGAg's luck may very well run out at some point but until it does their ranking is justified IMO.

You're exactly right, Contact, luck plays a part in the game, which is decided on the field, not in a laboratory. It isn't an experiment, it's a game.

In fact, if the Rocket's TD return had not been called back in the O-bowl our MNC year, we'd have been undisputed MNC. Bad luck for us and ND, good luck for Colorado. IIRC, it was a pretty lame call.

BeerNuts is really a true dawg fan deep down... just kidding.

UGA has done just enough to win this year. They will eventually stumble against someone that can protect their quarterback. I don't think too highly of their secondary, but they get a good pash rush so it helps negate it. I think Eli Manning could definitely hurt UGA as could Lorenzen of Kentucky. But I must say that confidence is very high over off of 316. I read a dawg board where david pollack had written an email to the UGA athletic dept, thanking them and the fans for all their support. That is what we need over here at Tech. We need someone like Pollack to step up and challenge our fans and his teamates. Somebody like Wimbush, Watkins, Daryl Smith.

Based on the first 6 games, I think there is only one team left they definitely will beat and that's Vandy.

All the others have a chance, Kentucky(there), Auburn (there), Florida, Ole Miss and us. They haven't exactly been killing everyone. These teams all have a chance.

MsTech

I agree completely; theres a lot of season left, and just about everybody is now facing the tough part of the schedule.

I tell ya what people UGA has some talent on both sides of the ball and a pretty good QB. They have a great coaching staff and looking to have some pretty darn good recruits coming in so far. I see them in Hotlanta in Dec playing for the SEC Championship. I agree that the SEC looks down a little this year and UGA has gotten some breaks but this is a good FB team. I don't see them going undefeated but also don't see them losing more than 1 or 2 from here on out(hopefully to Tech!)

I think we need to worry more about ourselves than a bunch of flea-ridden, mangey mutts to our east.

Yes, they seem to be having a charmed season, but remember that every dog has its day.

We've beaten them before with less talent and can do it again. In fact, we've beaten them three years in a row with lesser talent. (I'm quoting them)

GO JACKETS!!

The last time I looked at the records, UGA had beaten every team they have played.

give credit where credit is due. them dawgs are darn good. reminds me of the junkyard dawgs of 1975-76. Pollack is an absolute warrior. i would love to have seen him and Tony Hollings meet up on the corner with open field up ahead. what a showdown! but back to the subject at hand, they have talent, coaching(before and during the game) and they have the intangibles needed to succed. my hats off to them

The slimeball leg humpers have beaten everyone they have played. Do not know if you should ask for more. Will hate ugag to the grave, but admire Richt. Seems like a good young man who has just made this one mistake in his life to associate with the cesspool of the south.
