We only have 190 more days to go until we kickoff against Jax State !!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve waiting for Christmas Day !!!!!!!!!

From what I'm hearing around Rome, most all of the GT folks are more excited about the upcoming season than they've been in years.

Of course that's everybody except for that bunch over yonder on the other side of the road at athens, the septic tank of so-called civilization.
 
I thought you were gonna say you just saved a bunch of money on car insurance by switching to Geico.
 
Honestly, this may be the most unimpressive home schedule in a long time. What are our highlights? ThugU? F$U? Mississippi State may be the most attractive game on the schedule.
I know Tech fans have somewhat of a negative reputation about not going to see Tech, but going to see the opponent, maybe we can begin to overcome that this season. If we can come close to selling out Jax State, GW, and Duke, that would be a great sign.

For the record, I ALWAYS read your name incorrectly the first time I see it. I always read ro-mega-jacket. The the Rome, GA clicks.

funny....I have been asked that before. It is technology aggravation that led to the name.

Back in 1996 when I first started posting on The Hive...probably only 10 or so of us it seemed...I was just redtech. I knew a few of the guys on the board....the handle worked...red hair/gt grad.

Then Scout came along...and for some reason it would never let me have redtech. It had something to do with my registering on a Maryland board as redtech so I could post about Friedgen or something like that. It would not let the "new" board (The Hive) take any handles Scout already had in use.

In my rush to get posting again....I just threw Hive in front of redtech and there you go. The creation of a clumsy stupid handle was born. It did not really matter at the time because that was the only board...I would say around the year 2000 or so.
 
Odd, I don't 'read' the handles at all. They run through my mind as a single symbol.

Technically I believe that makes you more like a kid on June 15th waiting for Christmas Day (which I actually did a year or two there in my youth when the novelty of Summer started wearing off about a month into it).
