Folks might easily guess that Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud and Caleb Williams are the top earners in the NIL game.

Anyone know who's number 4?

You don't think Dr. Pepper paid Bryce Young for his NIL to promote their product? You think it was a secret payment on behalf of Georgia football? You think Apple/Beats paid Caleb Williams to play football? Or was it to use his NIL to promote their headphones? You think One Rock Capital Partners LLC and Metropoulos & Co. paid Williams to play football for USC, or to promote their water brand, AC+ION?

Wake up.

And Dunne IS a gymnast and a zillion little girls follow her for that. Also a zillion grown men follow her for her . . . flexibility? She competed at in a meet at the Unversity of Utah recently and I understand the gym was packed.

IIRC, I read a story that stated she’s been perfecting her brand marketing and had a ‘following’ before enrolling at LSU. Once NIL became a thing, she just rode the wave that had already been created by herself.

Every single player at Georgia Tech. You think TiVo actually gains anything from any player on our teams name image or likeness? No, it's the association with GT. You think Jeff Sims was getting NIL deals because people care what he thinks? öööö no

Every one of these NIL collectives is literally paying kids to play football for their school, their name image and likeness is worthless.

My take is every school in a conference w a TV contract, gotta market the product. But yea i agree its at most all college and high schools w athletic programs getting exposure on TV.

My wife has to wondering why I am watching college gymnastics.

Olivia Dunne is a model who happens to also be a gymnast at LSU. She is apparently an Olympic quality gymnast and a good student, but she makes over $1M more in NIL money than the reigning Olympic All-Around Champion (Suni Lee at Auburn) so let's not pretend this is about her athletic ability. I applaud Dunne's entrepreneurship, but the dollars that she is making are primarily tied to her attractiveness and how racy her instagram posts are.
