Some positive notes

I got to sit in a suite last night ...free food and beer!

...look at me damnit!

We couldn't see you, you were in a suite.

Speaking of B-back play, is Marshall hurt or in the dog house? It was bizarre, with all the other young guys starting, to play Allen almost exclusively when he hasn't had many reps this year.

Fresh legs amirite?

Why does it take a BYE week for us to implement the A-back screen? Or why do we only run the pass play to the B-back in the flats when the game is out of hand?

Maybe mixing in a couple of these plays more regularly could keep the defense off balance and open up the run game. Instead, it seems like we prefer to play-action pass against an all out blitz while have our quarterback drop back like a left hander and try to square his shoulders and hit a receiver 40 yards downfield.

And what was up with several B-back gives on 3rd and long situations? Granted a pass attempt probably would have resulted in a sack or worse, a 3rd and 12 dive seems like giving up.

Marshall has big issues pass blocking and ball security.

On one passing play, a defender was let clear through right the RG. The C and RG was double-teaming the DT.

That's the frustrating thing. If the OL gets beat on a block, iiwii. The DE for VT made a great move against the LT for a sack on second down. Even experience can't do much about that.

But to turn guys loose, that's so frustrating.

Stay positive, guys. We can't let Notre Dame beat us 9 times this year.

The VaTech people were not near as obnoxious as in previous years. that was kinda nice

They got up to clap for our 1990 team during half time. At least the ones that were sitting around us.

I'm slightly surprised this didn't get it's own thread -perhaps I'm making too much out of it, but I expected a bit more during the 25 year celebration ...what specifically I'm not sure, just a bit more than it was.

I thought Bobby Ross chose his words well, praising the fans for being there in Orlando supporting the team. I know it was the biggest Tech crowd I've ever been a part of, before or since.

The bizarre thing about this year: I went to the Duke game and Duke had the worst fans I have experienced anywhere. That includes multiple games in Athens and a game in Blacksburg. I went to that öööö school for grad school, and their basketball douchebaggery carried over to football.

Since we are not going bowling this year, I will be able to redistribute the cash I set aside for that endeavor and spend more time in Dublin (and Prague) before next year's kickoff.

I will put the extra time to good use contemplating whether Kozel or Guinness is the best dark beer in the world.

Until then, It's Maker's Mark straight from the bottle trying to erase all memories of this season except for the "Block and Shock" game.

I hate those entitled ööööing douchetards with the fiery intensity of 10000 suns :furious:
