We came into the game leading the nation in sacks and tackles for loss. We had 0 sacks and 0 tackles for loss.

FSU scored on their first 6 possessions, 4 TD's, 2 FG's.

They ran 73 plays on offense and had 571 yards. We ran 72 plays and had 379 yards.

Very pathetic performance.

Yes, it was pathetic.

As someone else has said on here (BOR, I think), some of our players are soft, and I put that blame directly on the recently removed coaching staff.

Another interesting stat is that fsu offensive line only avgd 280
a sobering thought-fsu ran at will on our defensive line ,THREE of which will be coming back, expected to be the heart/soul on our DEF next yr

I happend to be sitting next to 2 Boise State Linebackers taking in the GT Fresno Game. They were having a blast calling our offensive plays before they were even run. (as the O line got set) I moved in closer to talk with them and listen to them make the calls. They finsihed the game calling no less than 90% of our plays. They read pass vs run almost every time but what was even worse was there ability to call out the pass routes. They had heard via the player grapevine that GT was very predictable because of the "posturing" of the O line and the wide outs were not very savy in disguising their route patterns. Why didn't our defensive coaches pick-up on this in practice all year or the O-coaches know what the rumor mill was milling ??

Take a look at the records of the outgoing coaching staffs. Last I saw it was 1-6. Football games, like most athletic events when teams are close to the same talent level, are often decided on who wants it more. When a coach is going out motivation becomes an issue, and there's your answer. I don't think you can blame it on either the coaches or the players solely.

we didn't even phone it in, we mailed it in. Snail mailed it in.

Foget the '07 Humanitarian Bowl.
We lost and it's over.
The CG era -- the era of three six-loss and three five-loss seasons, and the one Coastal Division title-- has ended.
The PJ era begins.
It's time for a fresh start --and that's what 2008 presents --a new beginning.

this doesn't surprise me at all,one of many "unknown" reasons why our offense sucked at times
