Something I haven\'t seen discussed..

In reference to the frequent occurrence of dropped passes this season, does anyone else attribute at least some of this to Chan's non-retention of David Kelley? After the first few games, I blew it off by saying the receivers were just a little rusty. But halfway through the season, and the big drops just keep happening. Further speculation...could poor routes, poor catching, etc. be partially responsible for AJ's problems finding rhythm?

I don't know if not retaining Kelley is the problem, but the drops are killing us. Dropped passes kept us from sustaining some of the better drives last night, and some of them were right in the receivers' hands. I will give Maryland credit in that in most cases a MD defender was close to the receiver (something we struggle to accomplish). We have dropped more passes this season than I ever remember.

I don't know about the drops but I can't think of any reason to not retain Kelly. Good coaches and great recruiters like Kelly are worth their weight in gold.

Braine's wholesale firing of the previous staff was a major mistake. I'd almost (not really, I don't want to know!) like to know the politics behind that.

gnats, I agree. Perhaps, an ego thing? Why else?

I heard K. King last night say that AJ holds the ball so long before releasing thus giving defenseman plenty of time to close in for the kill. Howver, good WR's catch and smother the ball in anticipation of being hit, IMO.

Many dropped passes were heavily covered defensively. Suggs does give the defender too much time to close in.
