Since CPJ has taken over he's put many new signs up in the locker room for motivational purposes....most of them are just your normal "believe in yourself" type of thing, but one in particular caught my eye.

It was a poster that read "2008 Georgia Tech FB Team Goals", and under it listed 4 or 5 items...stuff like "be top in nation in turnover margin", and "be ranked in top 25 in rushing offense and rushing defense". That was cool, but not what I focused on. I was more excited about what our new coach listed as the #1 and #2 priorities for the year, and it looked like this:


1: BEAT UGA
2: ACC CHAMPS


Yeah, he'll do.

He has his priorities in order. He was always my first choice for coach...I didn't think he was available though, due to demjackets's posts and other rumors. I was as happy as could be when we got him...now my feelings are truly confirmed.

I had heard from mid-season last year that he very much wanted the job and he was an obvious choice...successful coach, strong ties to Ga, good with academics, etc. but demjackets posts always said he wasn't a consideration.

Hmmm, I wonder if that was some lil' ol' misdirection on the part of Dem?

I think a lot of it was CPJ not wanting to create a distraction before/during the Army-Navy game, which once again points to the fact that he gets it. The rumors of him getting our job ramped up pretty quickly right after that game.

Same thoughts I had. Just adds more to the perception I have of him being extremely classy.
