I was just thinking that somebody is going to get there first start as a college QB in South Bend!! I know Bennett started one game, but i just don't think he's our man next year.
 
I'm actually betting it will be 2 somebodies, cause Quinn is a senior too.

Are we sure that ND is going to be the first game yet, or do we just know its going to be one of the early ones?
 
Oh, great, now I've got Bonnie Raitt in my head (wait, I think that was Something to talk about)

Yes, the game is scheduled for 9/1/2007. Unless something unusual happens, it will be our first game.
 
yeah, it's our opener next year. i dunno who will be our starter. it's nice to have options next year though! there's a good chance jimmy clausen ( #1 qb on rivals and little bro of casey and rick) will be their starter. he's got a cannon, but our d will be ready to play as always. just for side note, i priced hotels for gameday weekend in south bend, and they're $500-$1000 a night! hopefully the cubbies will be in town and i can go watch a game at wrigley and get a room for a little bit cheaper in chicago!

Good for you! I would love to head back to my younger years stomping grounds. Wrigley is the best. I hope they are still in it by Sept.
 
If I were a betting man, I would say Bennett will be leading our troops into battle against ND in 2007. Although you never know, one of our two incoming freshmen may take the starting role.
