I took the summer off from Tech and just started looking at the team roster to see who we got.
Just noticed on https://ramblinwreck.com/sports/m-footbl/roster/ that we have 40 coaches and staff listed. Seems to be an excessive number, but I chalked that up to marketing and promotion. What's disturbing is not one of our 7 Coordinators is assigned special teams. Additionally no person listed as coach lists special teams in title. J.B. Hall Jr. - Analyst (Special Teams), is the only person in the 40 that has special teams in their title.
Is this an every coach and no coach is in charge of special teams?

Oh öööö we forgot to practice special teams!!

You go check out Clemson's coaching staff and come back and talk to me about "excessive coaching staff." Times have changed. The game has changed.

Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, UGA, Michigan, etc all have 50-70. So 40 is in the middle at this point.

Mods plz ban. One of the dumbest threads I've seen in awhile. Our job's to catch you up. At Stingtalk. Lolololol!!!! Welcome back, asshole.

Nothing cried out for reform to legislative and judicial leaders more than the bloated football staffs, excessive salaries, and unnecessarily large athletic departments. So many were making a living off the guys on the football field, it was time for NIL. Had the NCAA capped coaching and support staff at reasonable limits and had Presidents insisted on reasonable salary scales and personnel size for athletic departments the argument for tuition and room and board being compensation enough for athletes would make sense. But there was just too much money being spread around and the rules at least in theory prohibiting the players from financial profit to allow the system to continue unchanged.

I was at the Clemson game for Sunshine's coming out party. I think every player has their own personal coach.

Seriously, though, who is the special teams coordinator? Please someone tell me that this isn't another one of Collins' unique strategies where responsibility is divided between a handful of people.

We cannot afford to have issues wth special teams. We have no room for error.
We have lost several recent games because of poor kicking. NFL teams need special teams coaches yet we do not?

Not really that unique, I don't think, in college football. Granted, we have had more trouble in that area than most teams.
