special teams

Was reading that we focused the entire practice Sunday to special teams. It looks like Jerrard has punt returns on lock, and Scott Blair is dropping punting from his duties.

It also got me to thinking, when was the list time we returned any kind of a kick for TD? I can't remember once since I came to school back in '02.

Today was a kicking scrimmage. They had the team split into two and played a simulated game. Kicked off as usual and from there on, every down was 4th down so they had to either punt or kick a field goal. Field goals and TDs were standard and two points were awarded for a converted fake punt. The White Team won on a 32 yard FG by Chris Tanner. Very interesting to see the offensive and defensive line fielding punts haha.
