USC has started the lobby for it.

I think it would be great, not because I like USC but I think it brings attention to the arbitrary nature of the BCS voters deciding that two conference champions were more deserving than two others with the same records.

P.S.
We may not be close to a true playoff, but I wonder if the BCS may throw us a bone to move to a +1 format soon. If nothing else, it restores more meaning of the NYD bowls. (And lets make them all NYD bowls again while we are at it instead of spreading them out.)

Its clear the BCS is bs. Auburn, who I despise, was shafted one year after the title was split with LSU/USC.

Regardless of whether there is a split title, people will continue to argue over who the "real" champion is.

Mute point, If Texas wins they will get it if it is split. I do however think that USC would kick everyone elses butt in the top 10

I wish the media would use their power for good once and a while and refuse to accept the BCS system's version of the national champion.

My hope is Utah beats the ever loving **** out of Alabama tonight and lays claim to the AP title as the only unbeaten team.

What? Utah would lay claim to the AP title? How, since the AP champion is voted on by sportswriters? USC and if Texas wins are in line well before Utah.

If Utah wins, I'd actually consider them to have a legitimate argument that they deserve the mythical national title. Other then that, this is another season that the BCS in again. If I was Texas, I'd still be pissed off.

I am for which ever outcome causes the MOST confusion and controversy--because IMOH we NEED a playoff to determine the real, honest, true, claimed thru contest--NC!!

It's a moot point.

Not a mute one.
