well, of the WR/TE they have returning, only one had more than about 6 catches last year. Their number 2 has only played one full game since the 2004 season due to injury. The rest were seeing at best 1 catch every 2 or 3 games. You can't expect these guys to suddenly become super stars. Their WR/TE seem to be in the same boat at our DBs. One true prove guy, then a bunch of question marks.
On top of having inexperienced/rusty receivers, they are going on the road, at night, the first game of the year. Expect them to use the threat of the pass, to try and open up the run. Draws, counters, etc. They rushed for 275 in their road opener against Pitt last year.
I believe we have a more athletic DB core this year. I say more them closer to the line, jam them on the line. Encourage the run, much like Clemson last year. Make someone besides Samardzija step up.
