Good to hear that Wallace is standing out. He was a diamond in the rough last year and we need him to step forward and lead the right side of the line. I'm watching him. Also interesting to hear about the new punter. Go Jackets!!!!!!!

First off the snapping has been sharp. Always am concerned about snapping. Have been impressed with long snapping and short with field goals. Hal Higgins does a great job holding.
Three punters working out with the team for the most part this spring. There is #13 Higgins (RS SR), #1 Thomson (RS JR), and #45 Griswold (RS FR). The most consistent to this point has been Thomson of this group. They've all shown some good things, but consistency is what I'm sure the coaches are looking for as Coach Gailey stated in his report. Love his reporting. Hope others appreciate it as well.
Want to add that there was a guy not in uniform punting first part of practice two Saturdays ago. He was turning heads with his leg strength. Didn't get to see much of him, but what we all saw was impressive. JacketFanPCB, ylojk8, and others were there. He's got a serious strong leg. Was odd he didn't have on a uniform. Have heard he's on the GT Track Team. Sure hope he joins us this fall or when track is over. Compitition is good!
On FG over the last two Saturday scrimmages we've been really sharp. Only one we missed was beyond 50 yards by Jordan, who has the strongest leg. It just barely missed. He can kick it that far. In fact Bennett and Jordan both can make it from that distance. Just not yet consistently from what I've seen. They were practicing without snapping and team from 52 yards for a long time. While also watching other things going on at same time like Key Fox showing Sampson why he'll need a bottle of asprin after practice with the major lick he put on him during one on one LB/RB full contact drills. There has been more full contact drills this spring than any others I've seen. Back to the kickers... Bennett and Jordan made and missed numerous from 52 yards.
