Spurrier wants to change

Sounds to me like Spurrier should have this in mind while he's recruiting borderline prospects.
 
He'd better get it changed if he wants to compete with U[sic]GA, Auburn, and other SEC powerhouses.

Seriously, you'd reference Vandy when discussing SEC powerhouses? That's 4-8 Vandy by the way. I think you're only remembering the win over a UGA team that hadn't found their footing yet.
 
I gotta sympathize with Spurrier here. Who would've dreamed that South Carolina had admission standards?
 
It really depends on what he is complaining about. If he's upset that SC has admission standards above the bare minimum and threatening to quit over them, then that is pretty pathetic (and doesn't really seem like Spurrier to me).

If he is complaining that he thought or was led to believe these players were going to be admitted and then they weren't then he's got a legitimate complaint. I think one of the worst things you could do to a kid in recruiting is offer him a scholarship and then have it pulled away at the end of the recruiting process - after most of the other opportunities are gone. It really hurts the relationship with HS coaches as well.
