Stansbury did a podcast with Klein and Schultz. Nothing groundbreaking, but worth a listen if you've got the time.

Highlights:

*Talks playing hockey with Gretzky growing up in Ontario. Super Canadian stuff.
*Loves CPJ, great relationship, doesn't care about offensive style; no style points in football. Thinks CPJ is a football savant/genius.
*Doesn't think about star ratings for athletes, knows that Tech isn't for everyone but wants to make sure we don't lose out on kids who should be here.
*Got to maintain top class facilities, but can't just copy other schools. Wants our facilities to look like Google. You've got to feel the innovation.
*Accentuate what makes Tech unique; the success of student athletes, Tech makes millionaires, being in Atlanta is huge in terms of opportunities for student athletes. Got to get alumni network more involved in mentoring, etc.
*Couldn't say much about Pastner, but says he is still bullish on his future and the basketball program, believes he is a great guy and trustworthy person. The situation hasn't changed his opinion on Josh at all. The investigative process still has to play out like it would for any employee. Believes that most people are willing to wait and see what comes out.
*Roll Tide
*New gold will be unveiled soon. Won't be "metallic" but that's all he could say.

Never met him, but so far everything is on point. When he's accomplished his goals, this site can just shut down b/c there won't be anything else to bitch about except how each other's mom's have sex.

I agree. He's pretty much taking every GT fan complaint, including the damn shade of gold, and addressing them one by one. I have a lot of optimism with him at the helm; night and day from Bobinski.

You optimistic nancies need to slow the f down. Let’s wait and see what wrong shade of gold he picks before anointing him the next Kirby

Here here, dilly dilly

TStan gets Georgia Tech and I’m glad we have one of our own as AD. Worth a listen, but be warned the interviewers are dawg homers incapable of asking questions irrespectively of our “neighbor” to the east. They of course covered our lack of star power in the “recruiting rankings” but nothing on our baseball program, adidas contract, etc.

He’s Canadian and tells the story of his initial interest in Tech as a teenager. In summary, he was at Daytona Beach on vacation and partied hard with some GT football players staying at same hotel. He returned home and quit hockey to focus on football.

The new shade of gold will not be metallic. We’ll still likely hate it and continue complaining about it ad nauseum.

I thought he was pretty great until I read about all the football stadium "enhancements" coming up. Needs to fix that öööö ASAP

I don't get it. Seems like most complaints were 'takes too long to get through the gates' and 'not enough concessions / lines too long for concessions'. I assume 'cannot get wifi to track other games / make calls' and 'the audio stinks' were also up there on the complaint list.

I didn't see the survey results, so its hard for me to say, but by the actions being taken it isn't hard to figure out the most popular complaints. Hell, at least there are actions being taken.

I guess people should have said 'I really like being able to bring in food/drinks'.

Am I missing something (other than more complaining about not bringing in food or 'we need to win more games')?

How is taking away people being able to bring in outside food/drinks going to fix the concessions issues? It's going to make it worse, not better. They just implemented a single change that managed to piss off season ticket holders while simultaneously making the concessions issue even worse for everyone. It's quite impressive, really.

We can do that!
