Talking about how many fans have never been to a live game, and don't understand how much better the game is live. Trying to figure out ways to get new folks into the stadium.

I keep saying it, replacethe cupcake opponents with true P5 teams on a home & home basis.

Would be great to get some Pac 12/Big 10 teams in here. Getting to Atlanta is easy from anywhere thanks to Delta.

Not appealing for a lot of teams with our O though.

They should consider allowing re-entry after halftime like at Clemson.
Maybe, but then you'll have people that leave at halftime, and since parking near the stadium is minimal at best, a lot will probably get back to tailgate location and say F it, I'll just stay here and drink and listen to the end on the radio/watch on TV.

At this point we are scheduling so far out its unlikely CPJ will be head coach regardless of his success or lack thereof.

Problem fixed by putting beer carts out in Callaway Plaza and YJ Alley.

Long lines to get in combined with security theater and taking away STH privileges seems to be the answer for this season.

It would seem that season ticketholder perks don't have much to do with the decision of the average random person to come check out a game.

I dunno, I've been to hundreds of college football games, and Tech has played in every single one of them. I'm going to GSU/KSU tomorrow, and that's my first neutral observer game ever. Unless you're the default state school, I imagine it's pretty hard to get random people to come to your game - there's just no tie-in there. We're not in the Bobby Dodd days when GT was the defacto home team for Atlanta, unfortunately.

Do what Nashville Predators do.
Get a junky car. Paint Bulldwags logos all over it. Put it on the Plaza. Got a ticket? Good, get five free swings with hammer. Hit it in the right spot and a speaker plays a clip of Ciraldo or Wes or Gaudin from the one of the wins over the Mutts. Or get coupons for free concessions at stadium or a special one for dinner for two at Bones or Chops or some such.
Why the hell not?

Some things that have crossed my mind over the years:
  • I'd rip out the upper north and extend the new area they are thinking of. Make it a series of bars/restaurants/merch.
  • Take some of the seats we would have had in the upper north. Connect the lower north and lower south with the west stands to complete the bowl. It would have a bit of an Autzen vibe to it the way that I envision it. I'm not sure how easy this would be with the placement of the stands today.
  • Since we always have 12:30 games, might as well build overhangs on the West stands like they have at Washington/Oregon. Leave the East side open for opposing fans to bake or add one there as well.
  • Improve the concessions - offering, facade, and pricing - in the stadium. Honestly, I would have been okay with what we had but now the Falcons and Braves have really upped their game. Gonna have to start selling alcohol in the stadium as well.
  • Better opponents on the OOC schedule. I know we get UGA every other year, but gonna need more to attract more people. Even if it is fans and opponents alike. Toss in a Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, etc. on the off years. It was great for the dome, but it could have been BDS instead. Both fanbases loved it.

We Easterners would appreciate a shade, a big fabric one with Buzz or GT's on it. Make it like the shades at the Roman Collesium and open it up over opposing fans while keeping those liked by the stadium (our fans) cool and in the shade.

Also, until the kick-off classic games lose steam again (it took about 20 years last go around, so check back in in 2028 or therabouts) those home and home's are going ot be harder and harder to find. Especially so long as fans continue to be willing to pay for expensive tickets.
