This can't possibly be difficult for DRad.

First, try to move all games. If you can't convince GA straight up, just move the ones in Atlanta. If they refuse, then it will be them chickening out (of the series). (Yes I am saying it is more important to win than simply play. Moving the game to the beginning of the season levels the playing field for us.)

Perhaps getting all games changed is hard, but having some control over half is easy.

Guess that we'd have to encourage the NATION to SWAP Rivalry Saturday! Thats easy~

Great idea!!

Maybe we can flat out drop BC and VT and uva (except at home, of course).

The game stays where it is. We just need to get better.

Having the game moved up lessens the tradtion....Pretty soon everything will be PC...keep the game where it is and win it...The head Coach and veteran players need to set the tone for the young guys

I'd be fine with keeping it at the end of the season if we were on a level playing field with UGA and if there was no championship games and if we had two byes where we could put one before the UGA game.

But the last two have changed and a lot of programs have moved their rivalries forward. The ones who haven't sure seem to be cases of LEVEL PLAYING FIELDS.

'get better' is not a plan. We can level the playing field or move the game. I am not picky, but just out of curiosity, which option is most palatable?

Win rarely
Move the game
Add easy majors

We have enough smart talented athletes to beat UGA. Having been through classes at GT, I just don't think we can expect them to take the existing majors and pass and focus 110% on football like 'recreation' majors do. We need to play early, before classes start heavy, when both teams are still totally focused on football.

Or add easy majors

Or continue to lose, pinning our hopes on 'getting better' or the real holy grail having a coaching staff so much better than UGA's that we can overcome their advantages through vastly superior coaching.

I have some breaking news. There is no such coach. Spurrier has less disadvantages than we have in USC and he is mostly losing to UGA too.

It is merely a "state of mind"...I was an average student who would not have gotten into tech w/out football....Academics although not very fun at Tech are what they are....You know that when you agree to come...to change those you would only be making yourself like the others...we all took pride that we weren't in the right place but actually had a chance at a degree if we worked hard ....coach ross & staff/seniors set the tone early and often...by the time the game arrived everyone was on a mission....Bigger than any rivalry you had had in your life...I remember looking into the eyes of the guy trying to block me on the opening kickoff and the look on his face of horror after I drove him into the fence in the east stands...time after time whoever you were going against putting them to the ground over and over...and to hear them say take it easy dude or its just a game man slow down...you know that you had broken their will...they wanted no more...that should be the tone

On several occasions the playing field was ours until a different campaign changed it....

Thank you Fontana! Speak up more often. Please!

You guys are missing the point of having the game as the last game of the season. It gives TECH the opportunity to spank the mutts beehinds at the close of the season.

Any other schedule arrangement would be conciliatory.

I want the chance to spank the pups every year and show them who their master is.

It 'don't' get 'no better' than that.

I saw plenty of rivals go at it over the past couple of weekends --so I disagree that "a lot of rivalries have moved their games forward."

Leave the game where it is --where it should be. Besides, good things are on the horizon. Doesn't anybody else see the pattern here?

GT has now lost to UGA from 2001-2007. During the '90s GT lost to UGA from '91-'97 --but won the next three. I see good things happening over the next three years. ;)

This will never happen. We simply can't compete at the end of the season with powerhouses because we have no depth and UGA knows that.

Would you say our depth has anything to do with us losing the past three years? Because if you would, maybe we were watching different games. Saying we don't have the depth to beat them is a pretty sorry excuse when you consider the way we have played this season and in seasons past. That is a very David Braine-like comment.

It is amazing the reaction that people draw when thy suggest change. Change for change sake is not always good but this is a great idea.

1) Recruiting always suffers with a year end loss

2) The conference championship game is much more important then beating the NADlickers

3) Has anyone stopped to think that there would be a shift in who has the advantege. In a lot of years depth has come into play. perhaps this will negate that and bring into play the whole off season suspension advantage. Who typically has more kids with off season issues? HMMMM......

Is it really? That game we played in at noon last year in front of a half empty stadium that no one outside of GT or WF really watched anyway sure didn't feel as big as yesterday's game....
