According to VolQuest.com, the Vols [sic] starting linebacker is hurt once again and will not only miss the team’s Labor Day clash with Georgia Tech, but could be out an extended amount of time. The report says Kirkland suffered a ‘non-contact knee injury’ on Friday and the full extent of the damage is still being determined by the school.

Yeah, that sucks for the kid. Hate to see injuries like that anytime, especially before the season starts.
Yeah he's missed a lot of time the past year or so. He's a big talent and big loss for us. Especially facing a rushing attack like you guys have.

Hate this for the guy.

This is at the heart of why the ncaa should hammer schools like unc. Most of these guys won't see the nfl, even immensely talented guys. You can't predict injuries. Cheating guys out of a degree as a backup is the ultimate tragedy.

4-6 weeks isn't as bad as getting taken out for the entire season after chop blocks...That's how this works right?
