Stats and Q\'s about Rick Smith?
Does anyone out there know where I can get stats on Tulane's defense under RS (2 years, I think), and then at Cincy in 1999 and 2000? I know RS wasn't the DC at UK last year, but he did coach db's and if I remember UK did improve some defensively last year (over a horrible def. in previous years).
Was RS here during the Don Lindsey years?
Was Larry New a factor in this hire (since they coached together at GT,Bama, and UK)?
Does anyone know why RS left Bama after one year to go to Baylor? (No offense to the Bears, but that would normally be considered a step down)
Does anyone know why RS left Cincy (and leave a DC position)? Was it pay, friendship, etc.?
Inquiring minds want to know .....(but don't get me wrong, I LOVED RS' comments in the paper, and I like an "attacking style" defense -- with our athleticism at LB I think that sounds PERFECT!).
