Hewitt asked PJ if Stephen Hill would be allowed to play basketball when football season was over. PJ said he has no problem with that. So it looks as if Hill will give it a shot!

And then he will enter the NBA draft after next season. Then PJ will strangle CPH and we will get out of his buyout!

I'm pretty surprised if PJ is agreeing to this. It's not just risk of injury playing basketball but a real challenge to Hill's ability to maintain his academics. It also makes it challenging to put on muscle in the weight room in the off season.

It sounds appealing but I personally kinda hope this doesn't happen.

Is this a fact? I remember at the Caravan stop I went to that they were talking about how good of a track/long jum star Hill was, but the only reason Hewitt saw him play basketball was because he played with Mfon Udofia...or something like that.

+1

I have no problem with it. McNabb did it at Syracuse. Just hope he doesn't get injured playin BB...al hell would break loose.

Stephen is an average basketball player at best. He is a phenomenal athlete that excels when running the floor and dunking, he has a limited shot and played PF in high school, he would have to play the wing in college. The only thing he would contribute on is if we could make him into a defensive stopper.

Well, I am surprised that CPJ would say ok but I wish him well if that is what he wants to do.

I am more interested to see how he can help the football team rather than BB, but I have not really followed his BB career.

Sounds almost exactly like Ish Muhammed. I'd take another Ish in a heart beat.

Considering the freshman BB class, I can't imagine he'll get much playing time. Unless he turns out to be a late blooming BB talent, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets tired of sitting on the bench in year one, and sticks to football.

= Ish

Ish dominated in high school, Stephen did not.

Ish was a much better all around player.

If he learns to block like PJ likes, imagine the pick he could set!
