Amazing huh!

He has already done his official, but he wants to be there this weekend as the majority of commitments are coming in addition to probably 2 of our 3 remaining targets.

Threet played a big role in getting Donley and Dwyer aboard.

Talk about dedicated!!!
 
I'm thinkin' Steven's gonna bee the MAN!

Since he's enrolling next semester, it will be thrilling to see how he competes against Ingram and Bennett!

I do not think I could look Calvin in the eye and tell him to come back when facing that kind of $$$.

I like this board...but one thing is obvious...negative posts get far more attention than positive posts.

Of course, it is much easier to always be negative than positive.
 
Damned NCAA rules, I wish I could donate a few $ to help him pay for the trip, but I guess his family isnt have a lot of problems in that area if he's able to do that. Good kid, look forward to seeing him in the white and gold.

Sorry for the ignorance, but why are so many already committed coming this weekend? And, why is Threet's attendance special vs the other commits coming? Is it the airfare?

It is special because he is paying his own way to come from Michigan since he already had his GT paid official visit the weekend of Notre Dame. It is not like he can just drive to Atlanta. He is not even at GT officially yet and he is taking it as his personal responsibility as a QB and future team leader to be with his incoming freshman class and recruit the last few targets. This is HIGHLY unusual behavior for a high school kid.

The majority of our commitments have never officially visited...but have made multiple unofficial visits since they are largely within driving distance. This weekend will get 80% of them all together for a fun time to bond...hopefully give our current players something else to fixate on and think about the future....and will hopefully lock them in until February.
 
Even though it is cold here, it is colder than hell in Michigan this week. I'd pay to get out of there too.

Mr. Threet obviously wants to become a team leader quite early in the process. Big strong kid may be a starter sooner than later.
 
I rewatched Threet's videos today. While I know being a QB at the college level takes a ton more than being a QB at the high school level, Threet looks like he could be something special for Georgia Tech.

When I think about spring practice, I feel like Cartman waiting for the Wii to come out. I can't wait to the reps that Threet and Nesbitt get in the Spring scrimmages.

Is Nesbitt enrolling early as well?
 
After following UF recruiting in depth last year, of course my eyes were glued to Tebows decision which of course he chose the Gators and after doing that he did the exact same thing as Threet is doing now, helping recruit players, and I know for a fact Tebow helped pull in a couple of high profile guys. So not only do we have extra recruiting help, we are looking at a special player. Threet reminds me a lot of Tebow except Threet is not a dual threat QB.
 
Yes. I am excited about the FINAL game of the season & I am excited about Threet & it's encouraging to see GT work hard at bringing in as many of our verbals to bond as possible...There's a lot of negative vibe out there about GT & it's time to focus on positives & rally together to PROVE everyone wrong...GT belongs at the TOP!!
Thanks Steven for being a leader early & often and I look forward to seeing you and "your 07 recruits" on the flats for years to come.....now bring in Peters, Edwards, & Morgan and call it a DAY!

he enrolls with Threet January...as does Melton. I guess they will be "roomies".
