When Hall of Famer Tracy Ham ran the offense it was known as the 'Hambone' and later became known as the 'Flexbone' because of the versatility of the offense to run misdirections as well as pass successfully.
CPJ's offense has always been a 'spread' formation because of the wider spacing between linemen. The term 'spread' as only become fashionable within the last 4-5 years. I don't think it necassary to mention spread in the given name. I do think 'bone' should be included because of the wishbone roots. I simply like 'Stingbone' but wouldn't care if we called it 'Spread-Stingbone'.
