For those of you interested, Bill Clark just signed a new deal at UAB and he’s the highest paid Conf USA coach at $1.6 million or thereabouts.

Anyone we can come close to confirming as interviewed will be added to Round 4. Otherwise, we’ll narrow it down to 3 and then 2 and Stansbury can then know what to do.

Candidates Moderately Rejected:
A Briles
Neal Brown
C Strong
Applewhite

Candidates Strongly Rejected:
Whisenhunt
Healy
Hatcher
Mel Tucker
Godsey

Candidates Removed from Consideration:
Kiffin
Holgerson

I'd be fine with any of these guys, at this point I'm just voting based on who I think is most likely.

I'd be fine with any of those 5. Word on the street is that we have not reached out to any of them.

I fear we're in danger of Tennessee-ing our coaching search. I can assure you that, if your input is important to the outcome of this decision, you've already been contacted by a member of the GTAA. While I respect everyone's opinions, you need to realize that, at the end of the day, we'll hire a coach who has the opportunity to correct and improve the areas of the program that are within the HC's control that were not being addressed by PJ. If you think that isn't sufficient to achieve success, then I suggest you make donations to our fundraising campaign. I look forward to our impending hire and continuing to support the program.

Maybe the GTAA contacted me and asked me what the StinGTalk consensus was. But then again, maybe they didn’t.

They could be waiting for us to finish our votes before they seriously hire anyone. But then again, maybe they aren’t.

And they didn’t, and they aren’t.

"The Yellow Jackets’ search is focused on three names: Satterfield, Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott, and Temple head coach Geoff Collins. It was reported that Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt interviewed for the job over the weekend."

Yes, I don't know if this is more accurate than word on the street or little birdies. But these writers did have CPJ's retirement before it was official.

I would be ok with these three, and in the order given.

Seriously, why has Geoff Collins not been on any of these lists?

I'm okay with any of the options on this list as well. Would vote twice for Leach if I could, but voting twice for him may be as big of a pipe dream as wanting him to actually coach here.

What happened to the Gus Bus? Guessing it was just early wishes from AU folks trying to get something started?

I went with Elliot because Venables and Leach don't appear to be names of interest in either one or both directions.

Was announced today that he is staying at Auburn next year

You know... I changed my vote to Elliott. I'm surprised that the ACC hasn't taken a "beat Clemson or bust" approach like the SEC has with Saban, and I'm also very surprised that Morris is the only assistant he's lost.
