- missing FGs. This is beyond ridiculous at this point. Make either of those and we win.
- missing open WRs. Yates had a few errant passes too
- horrific clock mgmt
- coaching decisions based on crowd

Start
- getting something resembling DL "pressure" on opposing QBs. Year 3 & we had zero sacks and few hurries against the lowly Huskies
- showing OL improvement. Year 3 of Key, we should've been opening gaping holes in the interior against the lowly Huskies. Gibbs bounces outside because the kid's trying to make a play due to a collapsed Key OL.
- repeating something that is clearly working to try and win the goddamn game rather than worrying about the crowd or 'balance'

? I guess FG OL blocking was marginally improved? I really didn't see much in the way of improvement in any of the 3 phases of the game last night, this against one of the worst teams in football. I guess the new P looked OK. RBs looked OK for the most part.

I was very curious why we put the other FG kicker in for the 60-yarder. I understand that the new guy missed two very makeable FG but I would have sent him back out there to redeem himself by giving him a chance to win the game.

He doesn't have the leg to make a 60-yarder. At least Stewart can kick it that far.

I can't believe the coach took his 2nd timeout to go for it on 4th and goal with so much time left. The right play was to take the points. I've never seen a coach capitulate to the fans like that.

The 3rd and 4th down play calls from the 3 yd line were awful. I can't believe we didn't just try to overpower them and run it on 3rd down. I've defended CDP some in the past because I could see what he was trying to accomplish. Last night the play calling was horrific.

Also, wasn't this kicker supposed to be good? #87 had a much larger leg and was kicking with a higher trajectory in warmups/halftime. Have we wrecked another kicker?

Did you see the kick from 51 yards that hit the ground in the middle of the end zone?

He did slip…

…which brings me to another issue. Our players noticeably slipped on multiple occasions. Why have we not figured out how to play on turf when it’s our turf? I don’t recall a single NIU player slipping.

Turf outdoors is öööö.

Start: a new coaching search
Stop: pretending like Collins, Patenaude, or Thacker are going to create anything resembling a decent football team
Continue: drinking heavily
We can’t afford to let him go can we?

As @GT90 noted, his 50 yarder didn't even make it to the posts.
My recollection of the game is, by design, fading fast but was that the kick where he lost his footing or was that a different one? I honestly can't recall.

At the first sign that I wasn’t gonna like the outcome, I broke out the bourbon. I’m afraid bourbon stock is about to go thru the roof

If all those people Ken Sugiura quoted in his article last week really care enough about the Jackets to be quoted in the way they were, then I'm sure there is enough money amongst them to buy out the contract now if they want to.

What bothers me the most is no one on the team seems to be mad about losing. Everyone from Collins down seems more interested in staying positive and having a good time. If you do not hate to lose, you will keep losing.
I do not see anyone on the team improving from season to season under Collins. Instead they seem to be regressing.
