I've see many great suggestions for sportsbars but does anyone have any good suggestions for gameday brunch/breakfast near campus that is kid friendly? Is Silver Skillet usually packed out?

You could try to crash the Parents' Weekend BBQ by the Tech Tower tomorrow.

Walking distance: waffle house at Tech square
driving distance: highland bakery on highland, west egg cafe on howell mill, highland bakery on 14th

Highland bakery in the old juniors spot should be open too

Silver Skillet. Not really brunch but good ole southern breakfast. Amazing biscuits and gravy.

Ria's Bluebird in Grant Park. Get there early!!

The Majestic on Ponce serves up a good breakfast and is plenty kid friendly at that time of day. You'll always see some Tech folks there with the same idea on gameday.

there is also a Thumbs Up Diner on Marietta Street if you like the southern breakfast/brunch route

Hahaha was just about to post this. Much better than silver skillet (Lemon ice box pie not withstanding).

Hot cocoa coffee is excellent there too.

Is Huey's still there on Peachtree just North of the Amtrak station? Every kid loves Beignets! R Thomas next door. Of course it's been almost 15 years since I've been there.
