Just a little info for discussion purposes… I did a little comparison on Godsey and Suggs thru their first 6 games…. I have to admit, this is my attempt to find something positive in light of Saturdays loss. These numbers are based on the 2000 season.
Godsey:
Team Record 4-2
Total Yards Passing – 1408
Attempts- 194
Comp- 116
Int- 3
Comp % 60%
Yards/Completion 12
Touchdowns 14
Suggs:
Team Record 4-2
Total Yards Passing – 930
Attempts- 135
Comp- 77
Int- 6
Comp % 57%
Yards/Completion 12
Touchdowns 7
Suggs has thrown 69% of the number of passes thrown by Godsey at this point
Suggs interception ratio is 1:22 attempts while Godseys was 1:65
Also, Godsey TD ratio per attempt is 1:13 while Sugg’s is 1:19
When I look at the numbers and scale Suggs attempts to Godseys, I don’t see a big decline in production, the only area that really sticks out is the interception ratio and the touchdown ratio … if the coaches can get the decision making corrected, we may not be in as bad a shape as we think.
Just throwing something out here for everyone during our off week…
