on one of those CSS replays. Can Suggs/O'Brian deliver Godsey/Friedgen production ? I'd say so but might be a while. O'Brian runs the RF scheme but looks like a OC work in progress. Suggs could be like a pre-injury Godsey if surrounding cast is up to it along with O'Brian (and Suggs) . We'll see how things play out. Wonder how an long time offensive guy like CG fits in the scenario. Big year for the GT program.

Sorry I missed that. I wonder if any more Suggs games will be on?

Check around. Good many replay games on to satisfy us laboring to survive next 6 weeks. some real interesting games around recent and old. Nice to scout opponents too.

For the record, it's O'Brien.
Suggs is a better runner than Godsey, even though Godsey looked like the next coming of Herschel Walker on that 33 yard TD in the 2000 Ugag game.
O'Brien is one of the best young Offensive Co-ordinators in college football. If you don't believe me, ask the Fridge about him. If Gailey leaves him alone (as he said he will), then we should have a very productive offense under Coach O'Brien.

BeeWare, are you sure it is O'brien, or is it O'Brien?

I saw bits of the same game on CSS today. Suggs looked decent and it seems to me that he wasn't allowed to do much at Tennessee. In the games I've seen, they took a very conservative offensive approach. That may just be their way of doing things there or maybe they didn't want a freshman doing too much. Either way, I think Suggs will come out this year with a lot to prove and I think he will do his darndest to make EVERYONE forget about why he didn't get the starting job at Tennessee. He MIGHT even make folks forget about Godsey this year. Who knows??

Go A-J!!

suggs d0es look like guy that can do his job within a particular scheme that does not make the QB have to be a great athlete or make spectacular play. Chemistry and execution will mean more to your offense than any great players making great plays. Thats why I think you are probably a year away on making this offense click. Defense might get it done tenuta sounds good although changing schemes may set you back a bit.

Tarzan may not have the English language completely under control, but he is talking Tech football...

ramblinwise, old boy, look at your own signature. maybe if The Lord of the Apes comes around, progress will be made out of the conflict.

..and you may leave in peace. We're not interested in dog's criticism of our program. If you want to talk football thats fine but don't critique our Jackets on our board. This IS a GT board. Show some respect.

And you speak for the whole board ? I thought this was to be a board where a diversity of opinions are welcome. The "insiders only" attitude of so many Tech fans explains to me why you recruit virtually no new fans. Sad. Anyway thanks for the stadium expansion.

LOL
Sid's a piece of work, ain't he?
Come on back, Tarzan, I didn't notice you dissing the program at all, certainly not like some who claim to be Tech fans.

The thoughts spoken above don't speak for the entire board because they don't speak for me. Thanks for the comments on Suggs.

Watching him in spring thought he showed ability to make BIG PLAYS. He might suprise you this Fall as far as athletism. Honestly, both he and Bilbo showed that ability. Suggs was a little bit more consistant. Have to remember watching Suggs at UT he was a true freshman.

Hey Me..., you did come in peace!!! Much appreciated!
