What an absolutely outstanding yr the Demon Deacons have had! 11-2 & playing Louisville in the Orange Bowl! Wow, who figured that in August? No matter what anyone says or thinks, The Deacs made it happen. The coaching staff in Winston-Salem has done an incredible job, that is very hard to believe, with the resources they have @ WF. The schedule wasn't real tough, but they did go 6-0 on the road, 7-0 counting the J'ville Championship.
Congratulations, Deacons, on overcoming all the unbelievers in the USA. Here's an article about the ACC Championship game on the Deacons' own board that doesn't even give the Wake players or coaches credibility, but instead chooses to beat down the Ga Tech staff, leading me to feel that Wake Forest is the 'Rodney Dangerfield' of college football.

You weren't just recently over in Iran at "The Deny the Holocast Ever Existed Conference" were you?

Seems like most everyone understands the overall weakness of the ACC this year except a few.

:laugher:

also they had Clem's son beat but for that fluke play on their fg attempt.

Obviously, if we would have played well we would have won, but I think that was the case in the ND, Clemson, and ugag games.

To not recognize their quality wins over MD, BC, and us is pretty "chickensh1t" even for the likes of some around here.

Screw 'em. I hope Louisville whups their asses.

I'm on board with this. A severe pounding from the Cards will negate the 11/25 -12/2 apologists argument that we had a good season nonetheless.
Along those same lines, I hope Va Tech pounds georgia. In no way is my pulling for the hookies a conference brethren thing.

PW, why is it SO important to you that this Tech team receive NO credit for what they accomplished this year?

Are you SURE you're a Tech fan?

Leather, I'll give them credit for accomplishing an above average season. My definition of average is .500.

9-4 is a good season, period. 7-1 in conference is a good season, period.

Not a great season, not necessarily a satisfying season, but a good season.

Still, we are left with the question: Can Gailey have a great season? If he can't have one with an excellent defense, his hand-picked 4-year starter at QB, and the best receiver in the country, will he ever have one?

Not to mention this occured when the league was in a VERY down year and UGA was in a down year, too.

In other words to answer your question? No. Where is there any reason to think otherwise?
