Just wanted to say congrats to James Butler, Gerris Wilkinson, and Michael Matthews on their SuperBowl.

Butler had 10 tackles with 9 being solo... I believe that's correct.

Plus, Michael Matthews played a ton..and was in the game on nearly 100% of the running plays...usually going to his side of the field of course.

Gerris played on all special teams.
 
The V...I was thinking the same thing. Actually, I was trying to think of all the sports.

Kevin Browne-world series w/ Florida
Dorsey Levens-Super bowl w/ Green Bay
Anyone else?

There have to be more.
 
Butler had a good game, no denying it, but was the interference that gave the Pats their early TD on Butler? I can't remember.

I remember some of the Tech players from the 50's and 60's playing on the Super Bowl teams.
 
P.I. wasn't on James (i can't recall at the moment of this response)..but the announcers made mention that the defender looked as if he was expecting help in coverage from James. All turned out good in the end though.

If I remember correctly it was Antonio Pierce but I think Butler blew the coverage.
 
No position gets messed with quite like the Patriots do to the safety position (Moss long, dump off short, runs). Butler had a great game, something that couldn't be said about their first encounter.
 
We are becoming "Safety U." Dawan Landry, Butler, and now Morgan Burnett. Djay Jones has a shot too.
 
you forgot Nick Ferguson, an 8 year veteran NFL safety for the Jets and then the Broncos

and wasnt there some guy named Swilling around here a while back

I bet the two weeks helped the Giants defense get through all the crap Belichick does with his WR's. It also helps when he doesn't send spies to their practices.
 
I just glad he wasn't on the coverage when the pats scored there second TD.
