Like agent Smith

As long as we're clear the NCAA is not Neo. The NCAA is this guy:

Some of you are funny. The so called “college sports” in your mind have been dead for a long long time. I guess many of you have been living in a fantasy world for the last 40-50 years. I also long for the days of innocence but as an adult I figured out real quick that amateur sports don’t exist. The point for me was when I was on an elevator in Woodruff Dorm around 1989 with about 4 GT hoops players and then we were all waiting for the bus to catch to the student center. Listening and observing that situation was the moment I lost my “college sports” innocence and realized it’s all a business with both sides benefitting. GT is filling the Thrillerdome and the players are getting national exposure twice a week with a GT jersey on.

Can't argue that. But I think this ruling is a big deal because of what players can actually do now without them and schools being penalized.

Of course there has always been benefits to players that are under the radar. But the point you make is like the use of marijuana. It’s always been around despite its illegality. But it’s used a lot more now in states where it’s legal, than when it was illegal. You guys can go ahead and give me the “Big Cry” but the reality of that SC decision is very good for The University of Georgia and very bad for Georgia Tech. That Supreme Court decision is not going to be “so funny” to GT fans in 5-10 years. The Georgia Tech athletic department barely breaks even now. We are in no position to get into bidding wars with The football Factories.
