The Great T-Shirt War of 2016 is officially on. And over, actually.

Iconic college football programs Alabama and USC will open the 2016 season against one another in Texas in two weeks and one day. Those connected to the Trojans opted to poke the defending national champions, with the university’s bookstore putting “Roll Tears Roll” t-shirts on sale ahead of the opener.

Not surprisingly, those connected to the Tide have responded, contrasting a hero of the program’s most recent title win over Clemson with a fallen USC hero who, you may have heard, didn’t kill two people as far as a jury of his peers was concerned.

Maybe this speaks stronger to my lack of Alabama football knowledge than the average college football fan, but I had to look up their roster to figure out who their OJ is, and it turns out there are 2, so i still don't exactly know who that shirt is referencing.

Their TE, O.J. Howard (#88) had a great game against Clemson in the National Championship game last year. Something like 200+ yds and 2 TDs.
 
Yeah, I'm sure those tears are really rolling at Alabama, what with them being defending national champions and having won three of the past five national titles.
