Take a guess at the rest of our 2009 recruiting class

I dont think 1 event at 1 school will affect our recruiting strategy for the whole city. That would be stupid. By the way, we have had some great players from the city schools.

Morgan Burnett
Keyaron Fox
Kelly Campbell

not to mention current players like Roddy Jones and Omoregie Uzzi

Sorry, but it was not meant as an insult to the city schools or players, but I'm just a very direct guy (JUST LIKE PJ). Traditionally, the Atlanta city (not metro) schools have struggled to place kids into Tech. Knowing how PJ likes to get at it and not waste his time and energy on anything, I was just asking the question. But let me be nicer about it since everyone jumps on anything written as negative here first: Do you think that PJ will redirect his energies where it might be easier to avoid putting a lot of time into kids that in the end just can't get into Tech?

Burnett, I believe, is from Clayton County - not really a City School.

Clayton County just lost their accreditation this past summer.

Considering we are in the heart of Atlanta, we have had....overall...a small percentage of players from Atlanta.

It is always assumed by others schools that we get more kids out of Atlanta.

In years past, academics has been a problem so that allowed UGA to build strong relationships in there. The academic tide has turned a bit in city area and has allowed for kids to realize what is needed so they can take advantage of it. This has allowed us to look at more kids.

Looks like Mustang and GTLand03 called the first one right...

I would say we are out of it with Marsalis Teague despite what he says. Lets see if he shows up for his visit....and if the visit wows him enough to pass Florida (leager), Tenn, and Alabama.

Teague committed to Florida last night.

Things look good for Dontae Aycock. He cut his list to 4:

Georgia Tech
Illinois
Louisville
New Mexico

Other than Myles (who we seem to have lost), Aycock is the guy I'd most like to get on our recruiting board. He's a phenomenal athlete and would make one hell of a B-Back.

Same here. If he was such a lock, he wouldn't be taking this long.

Agreed. Glad to hear that about Aycock though. He is the number 1 guy i want in the whole nation.

Easy to pick on you since the answer is in, but he's said all along he wasn't going to make a commitment until his brother was done with his season. His brother got hurt and evidently has discussed his options with him.
