Was his redshirt burned for the few snaps he played against Mercer and Vandy? With Jordan looking capable, it seems like we would want to stagger their eligibility but I'm not real familiar with the redshirt rules.

Uhh, unless the plan was to redshirt him this year, his was burnt last year when he played in 9 games at AB.

Was he recruited to play QB or AB? I was thinking he moved to AB when we were short at that position.

Moot point if we've already got our future QB in Jay Jones but seems like a waste of talent - TaQuon showed some playmaking ability in his limited action last year

yes. play one down, and the redshirt is gone.
Doesn't it depend on when in the season he played? Like less than 20 percent of the games at the beginning of the season? Or is that void because he is a sophomore this year? Or - does have to apply for that after his 4th year and hope for the best?

IIRC, the <20% thing is only for applying for a medical hardship waiver for an extra year.

Nope. that's only for medical hardship waivers.

Believe he was recruited as an athlete with QB being the first stop. But you always want your 3rd string QB to be getting snaps unless he's an absolute stud.

He was a decent A back. It's a shame to lose a year of eligibility because of mop up duty in the Mercer game.
