Tax Time and Tech AA Doesn't Help

I would normally be about to write a nice check to the AT Fund, but now with the Tech Fund I'm left in the lurch. Will they count AT Fund donations towards Tech Fund like they did last year?

If not they need to send us Tech Fund invoices in December. Send us a sign DRad.

I believe you are allowed to pay the Tech fund for next year now for 2007 tax credit. The AA sent out an e-mail on this on 12/6, but for some reason I can't open the e-mail any more.

Tech Fund isn't deductible, but AT fund donations are.

They're separate is my understanding.

Tech Fund is basically as deductible as AT always was. As with all schools, it is 80% deductible. I assume AT is still that way as you still get other benefits.

My 'sign' arrived via e-mail last night. It says that they only accept online renewals for credit this tax year and that invoices will be mailed in February, 2008.

yeah...they do not answer the phone until January....the entire place is closed.

It is absolutely amazing to me that supporters of an institute of TECHNOLOGY who spend most of their time bitching on interweb chat/message boards and e-mailing/texting the Athletic Director are totally incapable of going to the Athletic Association's website and handling their business affairs online.
