OK guys, I see everyone blasting him, but help me with my history on TB. I know he got on Bobby Lowder's bad side (as has Tuberville); that he went 1-5 to start the '98 season; and that he went undefeated "with Pat Dye's players" (which doesn't make much sense to me, since Dye went 5-6 and 5-5-1 in his last two years before TB arrived). The rest appears to be rumor (cheating? womanizing?) and mean nicknames for the guy.

I'm not arguing for him, and would have him nowhere near the top of my list, but I think we should judge on the facts. (He did win 20 games in a row; would have won the SEC in 1997 if not for last-minute Peyton Manning heroics; he recruited 18 future NFL players (3 first rounders); and two former players are now Miami's OC and Nebraska's HC.)

So, aside from namecalling, what's the story on him?

Was he an offensive guru or was he a defensive guy? I can't remember.

You can take those to the bank. My sister in law was at Auburn while he was there, and she saw/knew about it.

What is his history as an assistant coach? If I'm not mistaken, he's never been a coordinator. For a lower division school or a football facotry, it's OK to have a CEO head coach - but we need a head coach who actually knows the game.

His media connections are the only positive (IMO) and that's not nearly enough.

Terry's brother Tommy was OC from 91-96, when they were winning all those games. After Tommy left for Tulane they went downhill.

Oh, and did I mention Terry is a sleazeball?

Was she one of the coeds that he ummmmm....you know what I mean.

No, but Emeril (that dude on the food network) did try to pick her up once. Supposedly he's a sleezeball too.

Maybe he can coach.

TB is radioactive sludge but without the faint, green glow.

As to sleaze factor:

TB > RN?

TB = RN?

TB < RN?

And c'mon, who among us hasn't tried to pick up an Auburn coed?
