Georgia Tech veteran tight end Dylan Deveney missed the spring recovering from a season-ending injury and subsequent surgery and on Wednesday he announced his intention to enter the transfer portal after three seasons on the Flats.

Sylvain Yondjouen and Kenan Johnson are still here. Leonard was a walk-on but on scholarship now.

Most of the CPJ recruits are gone from that class, as well, though. Walker, Yates, Huff, Amerson, Bennett, Jamal Camp, Owens, Ellison, Jeremiah Smith who I somehow don't remember

We still have Demetrius Knight and Kalani Norris from the CPJ contingent. But yeah, that class is pretty much wiped out, though I believe Yates and Amerson are about to graduate.

Edit:. Forgot D'Quan Douse. So 5 of 21 remain.

Not totally shocked about Deveney. We needed tight ends at the time, obviously, and he had size, so we took a flyer. He couldn't stay healthy or make an impact and the walk-on Leonard outperformed him. Apparently, will get his degree this summer with 3 years to play somewhere, so congrats to him on that.

Not sure Leonard ever outperformed him. Deveney was always ahead of him when healthy. Both have had minimal impact

I have no recollection of him doing anything on the field. Somehow we’ll be ok without him.

Surely there's better available in the portal. That position group has been a wet fart noise production wise and the 1 transfer we got this year is "serviceable" (and yes I am quoting someone on the coaching staff). We'll need at least 3 serviceable TEs for the upcoming season to implement what Long wants to do.
