I noticed on SI's GT board, they showed some team stat rankings:

YELLOW JACKETS TEAM STATS

NCAA
ACC
Total Offense
372.5 yds
50th NCAA
1st ACC
Total Defense
313.5 yds
25th NCAA
6th ACC
Points Scored
26.2 pts
85th NCAA
8nd ACC
Points Allowed
18.8 pts
41st NCAA
8nd ACC
Obviously we didn't play many good offensive teams (if we are 50th in the nation in total O but 1st in the ACC), but man! 50th in the nation is good enough to be the best offensive team in the ACC. That tends to suggest that the ACC is defensive conf., but it seems to me that maybe it's just that none of the ACC teams can move the damn ball!
5 ACC teams were ranking in the top 25 in total D...only 1 ACC team is in the top 50 in total O and that was us! At first I was a little surprised, but when I think of it, no one that we played in the ACC really had a scary good O. Maybe the highly ranked D's are more of a function of horrible O's?
Where do you guys think GT and the rest of the ACC will end up next year? It's easy to assume that GT, VT, Miami, FSU, UNC, and Clemson will all improve offensively next year, but we've got a LONG way to go!
