Tech #15 in USA Today

UGA at 16 in the AP...

I believe this is the first time we've been ranked ahead of UGA in the Chan era. (possibly in the Richt era as well)

GT ranked higher than UGA, and FSU and Miami aren't ranked. Who'd of thunk it at the beginning of the season (if you're not a GT fan).

Florida vs. Auburn next week is the only way I can see us moving up on the bye week (not that the rankings matter, but it's a bye week and what else does a fan have to do). If we can take care of Clem's son the following week, losses by 2 of either Texas (v. Nebraska), Tennessee (v. Alabama), Notre Dame (v. UCLA) or California (v. Washington) could put us in the top 10.

I'm pretty sure we were ranked ahead of them in 2001, but that was the last time I remember.

Yeah, we were ranked 13th in the preseason poll in 2001. Not sure what UGAy was ranked, but I know they were ranked below us.

Although it might be heresy to say this on the board, I am going to say it anyway: I like the AP poll more than the coaches poll. They have given us more respect from the very beginning and it seems they are not impressed with UGAy, for some reason the coaches poll still loves UGAy, even though they were smoked by UT.
