For starters,I think most folks are wearing the soft gold this season. It helps that the GTAA was giving away gold t-shirts to students(and fans) before the game.Oh boy,I really wanted one of those t-shirts with the white GT helmet, but,oh well. The bad? The !@#$%^ late arriving fans,at kickoff BDS was 30% full! Don't say because of ATL traffic.Get there at least 20mins before kickoff! Plus, that was a really quiet GT crowd tonight for an ACC game, did the fans make up all the noise for the season against ND? Good thing the team did'nt play like the fans cheered!

I thought the cheering overall was good, but the student section was weaker. Don't recall one YELLOW---- JACKETS half on half stadium cheer last night. I thought it was nicer being in a relaxed atmoshere and knowing we were going to destroy our opponent. I was happy with the actual attendance.

Screw that man, I wore my gold (the color on the tag when I bought it said "mustard" and it happens to be very close to old gold if not spot-on) dress shirt to work yesterday. Everyone knew what my alliances were.

Sorry, but I am going to say ATL traffic was the reason I was late. I went directly to the game after work yesterday, left Dunwoody/Perimeter at 6:15 (and stayed in the Dunwoody/Perimeter area until around 7:00, thanks a lot, I-285 and Ashford-Dunwoody Road) and didn't make it to the stadium until 8:00. I spent 25 minutes on Spring Street from the south terminus of Buford Highway to 10th Street. Absolutely ridiculous.

There was one fairly concentrated "Yellow! Jackets!" chant spurred on by KaMichael Hall on the jumbotron, but that was it for the night.

Screw you man. I left Marietta 2 hours before kickoff and didn't get into my seat until the 2nd play of the first drive. It took over 45 minutes to get from the 18th street bridge to the parking deck. Some of us have to work.

Piss poor planning usually returns piss poor results !

Left Peremeter Mall area at 2:00 p.m. ...in my chair tailgating in O'Keefe with my first cold beer 2:30 p.m. ...relaxed doing a better job for work by cell and PDA than normal...try it next time. It was wonderfull!

I love the Thursday night games and I say we always have them. But in Atlanta if you don't leave work at noon you're going to get stuck in traffic.

Me and my wife left work at 4, I work in Duluth and live in the Perimeter Mall Area. Stopped by the house to walk the dogs, change clothes. And made it to our seats about 10 minutes before kickoff. Next time I will leave much eariler.

I know of at least 3 times the Yellow Jackets Chat was going.

It's been my experience that Thursday night games are usually a little more laid back. I guess it's because most of us worked all day and know we have to go back to work Friday Morning.

But I hope ESPN didn't get a shot of the stands at Kickoff.

I think he answered that when he said, "some people have to work".

Like you though, I am fortunate to be able to control my schedule. I left Savannah at 2:45, got to the garage at 7pm, and was in my seats at kickoff.

Exactly. Heck...I had a meeting in Ft. Lauderdale that morning and did not leave MIAMI for the game until the afternoon. I flew into ATL and was sitting at SBUX/GT bookstore, returning emails, and sucking down a Frap with an xtra shot. After that, time leftover for tailgating and got to my seats 10 minutes prior to kickoff!

I thought this thread was going to be about the drunk assholes and stupid fat women that have to get up every 10 minutes for something and block the view of at least 2 rows behind them. Im beginning to appreciate my living room experience more and more..

nothing beats being at the game...and the team appreciates a full stadium with loud fans.

Too many GT fans within 2 hours of the stadium don't go...and they should go more often.

There was at least one YELLOW----JACKETS, half-and-half style last night, mainly because of the video on the jumbotron. Also, considering the student section generates most of the "defense noise," I don't think it's right to blame them. Of course, if you're comparing against the Notre Dame game, then I think it's no contest.

Good comments, by the way. I'm already pumped up about the VT game. I think the O-line will improve with time, but I think our special teams is the biggest cause for worry. Last year, that's how we dug ourselves into a hole.

We appreciate all you guys who had to leave work early. GO JACKETS!!

Hey,

Glad to learn there is a "Stingtalker" sitting right next to us at the games.

The stupid fat women have to get up to piss in the aisles--better than pissing in their pants and smelling up the whole row.
