Good grief, it's a wonder we've won more than 2 gms. That is one-heck-of a pitiful situation with turnovers. 113th out of 116, hmmmm. GT has committed 27 TOs (17 ints & 10 fum) & has only forced 13 TOs (8 ints & 5 fum).
In the current 3 gm losing streak to UGa, the Yellow Jackets have committed 11 turnovers to the Bulldogs 2 TOs for a minus 9 in turnover margin.
It's pretty obvious why the Jackets have lost 3 in a row to the Dogs & very telling why Tech is struggling to better the break even point in the past coupla seasons. Our staff has just got to do something about this. If it means benching players, then so be it. The turnovers are killing our Jackets.
Here's a very good article from the Macon Telegraph that covers this subject in the last paragraph.

Turnovers have really hurt

How in the world are we 6-4 ?? Where is Maryland, Nc state,Alabama,South Carolina,Clemson,UF??? If that stat is SO awful? Where are they in this stat you just pulled out of your hat? What are they, about 100 different stats that the Ncaa keep? What is SO different about this one?

Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah!!!!

...whoa

Not sure what the argument is about, but TO margin is a big deal. It's to the team's credit that we've won 6 games with the TOs we've had and emphasizes Chan's point that with fewer TOs we could be sitting here with 8 wins right now. It's something that has to be corrected, both tomorrow and next year if we're going to be successful. And it goes both ways IMO, we have to commit fewer and we need to take it away more often.

Right on, ncj

Those 4 TOs in the Va game sure made that a different outcome than what it could have been. 2 ints in their EZ, a lost fum in our territory during a run for a 1st dn & a lost fum on our own 7 just gives impetus to the other team, not to mention points. Then, as you mentioned, not to get the ball back with a TO.
Funny how games & seasons can change with those plays.

There is NO doubt that Reggie turning the

ball over has lost us our 4 games this year, anyone that has watched GT KNOW's that...My point was, that the Ncaa keeps all these sort of stats and dont just pull one stat out and fret over it...The bottom line is IF we had better play at QB without all of his turnovers we WOULD be sitting at 9-1 at worst...Maybe 10-0...As far as TO margin...OUR defense has played WELL all year and QB has KILLED us!!!!
