Tech Radio Coverage is Awful!

If you are outside of the perimeter of Atlanta, basically there is no radio. We have only a handful of stations that carry the games and they are scattered. It really is bad when our AD allows this. Why does 790 not stream the game? Why does WREK not stream the game. Our fans are our support, but Tech is not supporting the Fans when it comes to radio coverage. The ramblinwreck.com Gametracker is a total joke.
 
After my 6 y/o had a meltdown at halftime I had too leave. It was her birthday and I think the cake and cotton candy and coke pretty much did her in, anyhoo. Once we hit moore's mill on the way to east cobb, I lost the game. Unfreakinbelievable! I finally found a spot by the tennis court in the n'hood to listen to the missed FG.
 
XM Radio is worth its weight in gold. They have all of the games.
 
It was a BAD move to take free streaming audio off the website. We are radio challlenged for sure. However if you are anywhere in East Central Ga you can get the game on 101.9 WJFL-FM loud and clear.:biggthumpup:

One of the problems I have been told first hand with local stations broadcasting Tech games is getting sponsors. The local station has to sell adds and pay ISP to carry the feed. Some of you successful Tech businessmen and fans out there, get off yer arses and buy some adds for your station to carry Tech football.
 
The problem I face, is that I do not believe that I am in the satellite coverage for XM radio being in Europe, and I am pretty sure that streaming audio will not work on our government computers.
 
107.1- was great and I was in the mountains above Ellijay, It is also good in the Forsyth co. area..790's signal is horrid!
 
Same problem here in the area south of Macon. 100.1 may/may not reach to Perry, the handful of other small stations listed in the sports pages dont seem to have enough signal strength to carry out of their city limits.

Maybe the GT Foundation needs to buy back WGST and set up new major is broadcast technology mgmt?
 
What is the problem with streaming it on the internet. They do that horrible Gametracker thing on the internet. They surely could get a sponsor for streaming internet. Some of you rich business owners out there, help!
 
The station seems to be doing well in promoting themselves and their UGA tie-ins. Is anyone else sick of hearing the promos for the Vince Dooley wrap up of the Nadlicker Nation and the promos touting david pollack during the games and during the post-game wrap up. Not only does it piss off GT folks trying to hear about GT, but it shows supreme idiocy and bad business decisions to think that UGA fans are even listening in at that time. BTW, if you want to see how up to date the zone is, go to their website and answer their question about whether you think the Falcons will get their first win on the road THIS WEEK against the GB Packers.
