Tech Staff Changes
There have been seven on the field staff personnel changes this offseason for the Jackets.

Dave Patenaude (OC/QBs)- Old DominChip Long (OC/TEs)
Chris Wiesehan (TEs/SPC)- TempleChris Weinke (QBs)
Tashard Choice (RBs)- TexasMike Daniels (RBs)

There have been two major off the field staff personnel changes this offseason for the Jackets:

Kenyatta Watson, Director of Scouting & Pro Liason, who will be heavily involved in the Yellow Jackets’ recruiting efforts, evaluating both high school student-athletes and those that have entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. He will also oversee Tech’s relationships with professional football scouts.

Jim Chaney, Offensive Analyst, who worked with OC Chip Long and QB coach Chris Weinke at Tennessee.
 
So hopefully the boys can get coached up and we get back to an annual bowl game in 2022. If Tech only wins 3 games again does Geoff get bought out by the donors who offered to buy him out last year?
 
Solid moves on offense and off the field positions. Curious how much improvement we’ll see at QB and OL…will be good indicators on the impact of coaches.

Still concerned on defense. Spring game didn’t help.

I like all the new guys but I have a feeling that Weinke is going to be a difference maker - just listen to him talk sometime.

Not to say that the other guys aren't solid but when I heard Weinke, first thing that came to mind is that he knows wtf he's talking about.

Maybe G*C* has really been the DC all along & he's now turned the reigns over to Thacker?
 
Overall I like the changes. Some of the people who left I wish had stayed; but the replacements seem solid. I think CGC is making sincere efforts to make us better when it would be easy for him to give up and let this season play out. The portal adds have looked promising as well. I hope we can get to 6 wins this season and turn this thing around.
