Coley has posted a little interview with CPJ -- plans on in the next couple of days posting more.

The Yellow Jackets' head ball coach was also asked about Josh Nesbitt and the progress he made not only this spring, but the progress he's made since last year. This will, of course, be just his second year as Tech's starting QB, and Paul Johnson continued to let us know that:

He’s like everybody else, I think he’ll be a lot better. People forget—they talk about the system and everything—but it was his first year of being a quarterback. No matter what you do, he’s going to get better, and I think the people around him are going to be better. So I look for him to have a much better year.

OK, that's going to be all I'll post today. As I said on Twitter, I had a full day with quotes from Johnson and Bill Curry. Curry had a lot of good things to say about Tech, and we'll have those on the blog tomorrow. I'll also update with more Media Day quotes later on this week. So keep checking the blog, keep checking macon.com/tech (I plan to have a couple of other stories on there throughout the week, including one on Perry native and former Yellow Jacket James Liipfert and his new job with the New England Patriots), and keep following me on Twitter @macontechtalk. Thanks a lot!

Did he call St. Richt, "Mark" in that last answer?

Hmm, don't really like 'friendliness'.

Strike one on CPJ for the day. ;)

I have it on an RSS feed, so I do not check it -- google checks it for me. :) Coley does a good job.

Speaking at Tuesday’s Pigskin Preview at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, Johnson remained firm in his assertion that very few people hold as high expectations for his team as he does.
“I expect to win once a week, and that’s my expectation level,” Johnson said. “That’s the expectation level of our team. I said early on when I took the job, ‘No one is going to have higher expectation levels than I am.’ ”
Going into this season, however, those sentiments seem to also be felt throughout the sports world. From thoughts of a 10-win season to experts who are picking the Yellow Jackets as this year’s ACC champions, the tune is far different from 2008.
“I guess (the players) hear it, they’re human. Everybody reacts differently to that kind of stuff,” Johnson said. “I just know that our expectation level is to win every game, and if you’ve got something else, you’re cheating yourself and you’re cheating the team.
“But I think that should be your expectation. I don’t think you’ll ever hear a coach say, ‘Boy, if we can go 7-5 that would be great.’ ”

Hahahahaha. I am completely sure he did not mean this as a jab at Chan Gailey, but...haha.

Lots of GSU fans think is brash attitude in interviews is horrible... I LOVE it!
