tbh I've felt that way since 2009. I remember when Smelter scored on the long reverse against UNC in 2014 and while everybody around me was cheering, I was going NO NO NO NO because I knew what was coming.I still remember scoring late in games when Roof was our DC during our GOL days and thinking "We scored too early. Should have run more clock". I always felt that the other team just easily would go down field. Somehow, this season, I get the same feeling all the time. I wasn't even happy up 28-7 at half because we have been there before. It should have been an easy salt away of a game. I was hoping for 35-7 after Duke's turnover early in the second half. Hell, we didn't even get one play run successfully after the turnover.
Duke wasn't that big of an OL. We shouldn't have needed JC's.This is bs. O'Leary used to bring in big bodies from the junior college ranks and was further able to recruit from a wider group. The defensive recruiting today is clearly a step below O'Leary days. This is a tech issue.
Offense scores 40 points. Pray you can hold on...
Hope he left at half time for his sake.Did GO'L hang around?
He knew what he was about to see.
