I've heard rumblings that he is going to be the def coordinator up there. Anybody else heard this?
 
If it does not work out for TR, I wonder if he expects AU to give him his old job back, regardless of b vg.
 
That's surprising. I figured he'd have it made in Orlando w/George. Penn St.'s going to be a challenge but I guess they will need good people to help rehab the program. Good luck!

Auburn was not going to bring him back. They let him 'leave' for UCF so he wouldn't be fired. Penn state is a good opportunity for him. His first real opportunity to run his own defense. When he was at tech o'leary definitely had his hand in things and the same can be said about his time at auburn and chizik. I expect BoB to leave him alone for the most part. If they end up with BoB, roof, and fridge I'll have to cheer for them when they are playing. An all former tech coaching staff is nice to see.
 
Has Ted Roof ever fielded a good defense? He must be a hell of an interview because I don't seem to recall any exceptional defenses from him.
 
According to the AJC, Mac Macwhorter and Stan Hixon also going to PSU. Lot's of former Tech coaches there now.
