On Saturday, before the Rice game, an airplane banner flew over the Texas campus saying: “PATTERSON MUST GO”

Billionaire Houston trial lawyer Joe Jamail, 89, who has given tens of millions of dollars to the university and whose name is on the field at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium as well as UT’s swim center, canceled his suite at Texas football games this year.

After Patterson fired Bianco, a 23-year UT employee given five minutes to access his computer before it was shut off, four other staff members have quit.

Live in Houston and wife went to UT, there's a lot of rage in Longhorn Nation. Rice gave the game away on Saturday to UT, dominated everywhere except special teams and that cost them dearly. UT is going to be lucky to win 5 games this year at this rate

Hard to believe how quickly they've fallen apart. They were the most consistently dominant team for awhile there. They had there class filled up with 4/5* Texas players 6 months before signing day. Top 5 every year preseason. 10+ wins every year. National title conversation every year. If you had told me in 2008 that CPJ would have our program significantly ahead of Texas by 2015 I would have laughed you out of the room.

At least they've got the Longhorn Network to fall back on.

One of these days, they'll be back. Bama had some down years before Saban. FSU had a couple down years at the end of Bowden's tenure.

Every historic football power school will have a slump here and there, but they'll eventually bounce back.

Edit: although the state of UTx is much more than a slump. More of a disaster. It will take them years to come back. I give it 5

At this rate, Texas will soon feel the need to find a home outside the B12. I don't know why Oklahoma hangs around and just doesn't jump to the PAC or Big10 already.

I don't even know if I would want Texas in the ACC. It would probably be like having a stripper girlfriend and all the problems that come with her..

This couldn't happen to a more worthy program. The root of all conference alignments/misalignments and controversy goes back to UT and their greed. Good riddance.

Yeah, I expressed concern over that before. If they agree to convert the Longhorn Network to a dedicated ACC Network and agree to equal revenue sharing, I'd be fine with them coming in. But, I can't imagine that they would agree to either.

Nah that's smooth sailing. Carry on with the conference expansion.

Sounds like a good opportunity for a reality show on the Longhorn Network.
