Anybody watching this who now believes we would not have been MUCH better off starting Bilbo from WF game on is in dire need of some football 101 tutoring. And for all the "coaches know all" gang, just replay all the replays from John Cooper during the game. THWG

I don't ususally save Tech losses on tape but I did this one! John Cooper couldn't say enough about Damarius and his talent!

My concern is this coach and his ability to develop this talent or any of our talent for that matter!

Obviously D-bo has talent, but should he get the snaps, IF...

1. He sleeps through team meetings?

2. Does not give maximum effort in the weight room?

3. He was viewed as "giving up" after not being named the starter?

Rumors I've heard is that "does not grasp the playbook" was code for the above mentioned items.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

If the rumors are/were true, hopefully yesterday was his wake up call.

Well Doc, if yesterday was his wake-up call, then why couldn't WF have been the same? I've yet to be convinced of the downside of playing DB significant meaningful PT from early in the season on. THWG

Andy Hall would have been the QB if he had been treated properly and given a fair chance.
Can't really blame him for moving on when he saw that wasn't the case.
Dbo definitely should have been allowed to finish the Wake game after the long TD pass and should have been the starter after that.
We would have been much better off with Hall or Dbo as QB.

Interesting, isn't it up to the coaches to mold the players? If Dbo was all that in practice and weightroom, I guess this coach couldn't do his job right and turn that attitude around.

I have no inside info that he was like that but it seems to me if he was, why did they even allow him to play any at all! In the NC game as well as the Wake game, he was put in situations to bring the team back from the brink and then taken out.

If he was not pulling his weight on the practice field or in the weightroom .... should he even be in the rotation? That's very contradictory to the process.

The complete and total lack of any preparation of any QB other than Suggs this season is most distressing IMO... During the abomination which was the DUKE game I sat on my wet, cold hands the entire 2nd half and watched a sick, tired QB (Suggs) squeak out a win... if Suggs was indeed sick during that game why was there no replacement of him with another QB any QB and thus allowed to gain experience during that 2nd half???
That game broke the TEAMs spirit this season... jump out to a 20-2 lead at half time and essentially watch the seconds spin off the clock during the second half... emotion was drained out of the team and the fans by the offensive coaches in that game and the spark did not return until the 2nd half of the Silicon Valley Classic... nearly 6 weeks later...
This bowl was accepted because it is good to always be able to practice more... What is better practice than game speed in the second half of a game that you are in total control of???... we should have seen everyone including the water boys get experience during that Duke game... instead Gailey packs it in... This is the failure of the coach this season to not continually strive to gain experience at every opportunity...
