Thanks, Paul

He was a great coach, good guy, and sure gave us some exciting games! Now, time to move on and hopefully have more new exciting moments on the field!

Thank you Coach Johnson! I was with you in the beginning and became a season Ticket holder because of you! I'm going to miss you! I hope you un-retire and get another job and raise hell in College football! Good luck to you!

We certainly can do worse. He did a lot of things well and had a lot of positives.(and some obvious negatives)--don't we all?

He's not coming here to read this.

He's checking to see who's been naughty and who's been nice.

As I posted in another thread, PJ has been HC at Tech as long as he was HC at Southern and Navy combined. He turned down other offers to stay at Tech.
And I will remember this conversation I had with him the day after he took the Navy job and O'Leary took the Notre Dame job.
Me: "Man, if you had waited a day, you might have had the Tech job."
PJ: "They can come get me from Navy just as easily as they can from Georgia Southern."

I have another PJ story that, to me, shows me the kind of guy he is and it involves me but I am hesitant to share it publicly. PM me for the details.

Current and former players tweeting out a lot of love for CPJ as a person. Respect for the positive impact he had on these guys.

CPJ did a lot of good as our head coach. Orange Bowl trips, ACC title games, three wins in Athens - all were very enjoyable. His players made us proud. After bad losses I could be just as ornery as anyone for a day or two. But, in the long run I appreciate all Coach Johnson has done for the Institute. I wish him and his wife and daughter the very best.
