It's nice to see a forum that lives with the good and the bad... If it is true that other forums have been shut down permanently because of the game last nite then I'd like to state as politely as possible that the Mods over there are thin skinned and weak legged... too harsh???
They have spoken about how classy they are and that negativism is not their policy...
It is not classy to take your ball and go home when things are not going your way... it's being a loser
It is not classy to eliminate all opinions which you do not agree with... It's totalitarian and self absorbed...
It is not classy to cloak yourself in White and Gold ... expect your team to perform under duress when you fold at the slightest sign of criticism... It's hypocritical...
Just my 2 cents... Looking forward to seeing all of you at homecoming...

Good post. I agree that this style of board is much better, and agree that opinion censorship has no place in a discussion.

Bashing and insults are a different story, but that stuff has been kept to a minimum here, as most of the people here have a great respect for each other.
 
Yes, thanks for allowing to vent our feelings good and bad. I respect all posters here even if it doesn't agree with my thinking. At least we're allowed this luxury and it keeps us from going off the deep end!
 
The mods had nothing to do with shutting down the
Hive after the loss. We couldn't post either,
until recently.

Like I've said, Stingtalk benefits from a smaller
and more mature population for the most part.

As this forum grows it will be interesting to
watch how the atmosphere survives.
 
And one of the big gripes that I have about the hive is that if you post something that isn't mainstream hive thinking, then you get group lynched. Here, it seems that Tech folks RESPECT each other. That means alot. To be able to express one's self without fear of mob retaliation. Good board StingTalk!!
 
AMEN to that! This is a board for opinions and not all opinions wil be positive-especially now. I cannot believe teh other board shut down but that is ok. I think, we as GT fans, can talk here about teh good and bad in a respectable way and not have to worry about being nuked. He nuked me last night before teh board shut down because he didn't like what I had to say. I did not cuss anyone, didn't "attack" anyone-simply spoke the truth.
 
Long live Stingtalk! I don't like being babysat either. CJ does have a point though about the relative age of the two boards. If ST ever does attract a new cast of characters the tone could change. The Hive will probably serve as a buffer from that happening though (as long as it stays up

).
